14 Boating New Zealand April 2014 VISITORS TO THIS year’s Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show will have several chances every day to win a Heletranz heli-fishing experience in the Hauraki Gulf from May 15-18. Heletranz will give show visitors the chance to be on board daily flights to a remote fishing spot to spend several hours targeting rarely fished outer-Gulf snapper and kingfish. To have a chance of winning, says show organiser Dave Gibbs, head to the Heletranz stand in the Hauraki Fishing Hall and fill out an entry form. “It should be easy to find,” he jokes. “It will be the only stand with a helicopter on it.” Names will be drawn every evening of the show and winners will depart from the Heletranz base in Rosedale on the North Shore the next morning. At the end of the day they will fly back to town and land in the middle of the show before being dropped back at the Heletranz base. In addition to the daily heli-fishing prize flights, Heletranz will also offer show-goers the chance to enjoy a scenic flight over the city.
